You're a talented, engaging, and thoughtful journalist/writer who loves showcasing your creative mind and curious attitude in writing, especially in newsletter format. You're a crypto enthusiast who follows the industry and gets excited when there is a new narrative to shape.
You consider yourself to be dynamic and highly collaborative and look for the same qualities in the team that you join. You love working with other collaborative and humble builders in a shared mission to craft a sustainable model for crypto journalism.
As one of our Reporters, you'll regularly craft timely and relevant short-form newsletter articles and longer. The Drop is focused on the application layer of web3: gaming, social media, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and art.
Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:
Experimentation is frequent at Blockworks. Comfortability with being uncomfortable is a must.
You're an experienced writer who isn't a stranger to the crypto space, Web3, particular topics around tech, decentralized protocols, and more.
You have demonstrated success producing and and publishing crypto-related journalism and/or online content, and are excited to share your previous examples. You're at home with the ins and outs of web3 gaming, NFTs, etc., and can help explain them to even the most novice reader.
You use crypto tools, protocols, and software personally and are an active member of the crypto Twitter/X community. Lastly, you're able to work autonomously and have no problems meeting or exceeding demanding production deadlines in a flexible but fast-moving environment.
Having previous experience working in crypto media or other content-related companies in the industry and the desire to do it again will move you to the top of the list. Possessing a personal interest in gaming, NFTs, web3, etc, and a strong knowledge of who and what matters in crypto today. A deep-seated understanding of the audience for crypto information and analysis will set you apart from other candidates.
