What you’ll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain software solutions with a focus on high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
  • Reverse engineer and build integrations with external APIs and services, including non-public APIs, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements, solve complex challenges, and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Oversee project management activities, including planning, prioritization, resource allocation, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Analyze technical challenges, provide actionable insights, and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices when working with external APIs or sensitive data.

What would set you up for success

  • Strong proficiency in Python programming language with a proven track record of delivering high-quality code.
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, and HTTPS.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in software development or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading high-performing teams and delivering exceptional results.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to foster collaboration and innovation within a team.
  • Strong analytical skills for solving complex technical problems and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent project management skills, including task prioritization, risk assessment, and progress tracking.

Preferred skills

  • Hands-on experience with Django framework and PostgreSQL database management.
  • Proficiency in website scraping tools such as Selenium, Puppeteer, or lxml.
  • Experience in reverse engineering mobile applications and non-public APIs.
  • Familiarity with software security best practices when working with external integrations.

Bonus points

  • Experience managing end-to-end software development projects focused on API integrations.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools or techniques to effectively communicate insights.
