We are seeking a dependable IT Support Engineer (System Administrator) to ensure smooth IT operations and provide technical support to our team. The role involves supporting users with account setup, access management, and troubleshooting, while also managing IT infrastructure, hardware, and office systems. You will handle procurement, budgeting, and lifecycle management of equipment, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost control. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a secure and reliable IT environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Users Support:

  •  Provide technical support, including setting up accounts, resetting passwords, and managing access to corporate applications and resources.
  • Manage and monitor user access to IT systems, ensuring proper permissions and security. 
  • Oversee the setup and basic configuration of user equipment, ensuring smooth onboarding and support.
  • Accept, process, and prioritize user requests, incidents, ensuring prompt resolution.
  •  Develop and maintain user documentation and instructions (FAQs) for IT tools and services.

IT Infrastructure and Office Management:

  • Manage the IT infrastructure of the Cyprus office, MFU printer, and conference room setups for optimal performance.
  •  Provide technical support for networking equipment (router, access points) and ensure seamless office Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Support security systems, including cameras and access control systems, to ensure workplace safety.

Budgeting and Procurement:

  • Organize procurement processes, maintaining inventory, and managing the lifecycle of equipment, including decommissioning.
  • Monitor and control IT expenses, analyzing deviations from the budget and preparing reports.
  • Plan annual and quarterly budgets for IT licenses and equipment based on company needs.
  • Forecast future IT spending based on historical data and business growth trends.

Requirements:

  • Experience with corporate tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Atlassian stack.
  • Skills in IT procurement, inventory management.
  • Knowledge of macOS and Windows systems.
  • Customer Orientation: Empathy and user-centric mindset.
  • Communication: Clear explanations and active listening.
  • Collaboration: Teamwork and knowledge sharing.
  • Adaptability: Quick learning and flexibility.

Nice to have:

  • Advanced knowledge of macOS and Windows systems, including troubleshooting for diagnosing and resolving software errors and system failures.
  • Budgeting for SMB environments.
  • Using ChatGPT.
