This is a remote position.
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM Eastern time with an hour unpaid break (40 hrs per week)
Responsibilities:
- Answer and manage incoming calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, surgeries, or medical consultations.
- Maintain patient records and update them in the medical practice software.
- Provide patients with information on services, fees, and appointment details.
- Handle billing inquiries and process payments.
- Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff.
- Manage email correspondence and handle administrative paperwork.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare privacy laws.
- Assist in managing medical office inventory and supplies.
- Perform other administrative duties as required by the healthcare practice.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and billing practices.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
- High school diploma; additional certification in Office Management or a related field is a plus.
