This is a remote position.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM Eastern time with an hour unpaid break (40 hrs per week)


Responsibilities:
  • Answer and manage incoming calls in a polite and professional manner.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, surgeries, or medical consultations.
  • Maintain patient records and update them in the medical practice software.
  • Provide patients with information on services, fees, and appointment details.
  • Handle billing inquiries and process payments.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and medical staff.
  • Manage email correspondence and handle administrative paperwork.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with healthcare privacy laws.
  • Assist in managing medical office inventory and supplies.
  • Perform other administrative duties as required by the healthcare practice.



Requirements

  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and billing practices.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in medical software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • High school diploma; additional certification in Office Management or a related field is a plus.
