International, rapidly growing product IT company StellarTech is looking for a Product & Marketing Compliance Legal Counsel! In this role, you will act as a key partner to our Product, Marketing, Privacy, and Corporate teams. You will ensure that our ed-tech products and marketing campaigns comply with data protection, intellectual property, advertising, and commercial regulations, and comply with legal and platform requirements (Meta, Google, Apple, TikTok) across global markets. You will also manage corporate formalities, coordinate with external legal service providers, and help structure our legal framework for sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Framework & Guidelines
- Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance guidelines covering product, marketing, privacy, IP, and commercial/legal processes.
- Ensure guidelines reflect up-to-date global legal and platform requirements (Meta, Google, Apple, TikTok) and regional regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
Implementation, Ongoing Monitoring & Audit
- Partner with Product, Marketing, IT, and Corporate teams to roll out and embed guidelines into workflows.
- Deliver training, playbooks, and quick-reference materials to drive consistent adoption.
- Execute quarterly audits of product features, app store pages, marketing funnels, and marketing creatives.
- Systematically track adherence to IP filings, and corporate formalities across all entities.
Reporting & Stakeholder Communication
- Maintain a central compliance dashboard with KPIs (audit results, remediation status, training completion).
- Provide regular status updates and risk assessments to senior leadership and relevant teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years in-house legal department of product IT company.
- In-depth knowledge and implementation experience in consumer protection laws, COPPA, FTC Act, FTC Negative Option Rule, UK Digital Markets Act, ASA/CMA guidelines (knowledge of GDPR, CIPA, CCPA will be a great advantage).
- Strong legal knowledge and proven experience in IP law, including copyright, trademarks, licensing, and IP protection strategies.
- Fluent English (including legal drafting).
- A keen eye for detail and outstanding analytical skills.
- Business-oriented mindset with a focus on practical, scalable solutions.
- Strong collaboration and cross-functional communication skills.
- Passion for automation, process improvement, and AI-driven tools in legal and operational workflows.
