About The Role
As a Staff Software Engineer on our platform team you’ll be dedicated to guaranteeing that our engineering organization has a robust, scalable, reliable foundation upon which they can build their features. Our ideal candidate is someone who solves complex problems at the platform level to accelerate the work of partner engineers while reducing risks for the business.
What You’ll Do
- Lead complex projects in coordination with multiple engineering managers and teams.
- Improve the architecture of our system to accelerate engineering impact.
- Anticipate the needs of the business to influence engineering strategy and direction.
- Level up the skills of engineers who collaborate directly with you.
- Participate in the hiring process for all levels within engineering.
- Lead incident response in times of urgency to guarantee system stability.
What We Need
- 8+ years of software engineering work experience.
- Experience working with fully remote teams.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with multiple teams on large-scope projects.
- Demonstrated experience authoring and maintaining excellent org-wide documentation.
- Demonstrated experience evangelizing key technology decisions within engineering teams.
- Demonstrated experience presenting on technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with these technologies:
- Frontend using React
- Backend using Python Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, FastAPI, etc.)
- Data Management Systems (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, Kafka, etc.)
- Cloud Deployment using Kubernetes (with observability)
- Prior management experience is a plus

Compensation:
- Base: $195,000
- Base + Bonus Target: $260,000
- This role is eligible to participate in Invisible’s equity plan.
The amount listed above is the expected annual base salary for this role, subject to change.
