This role supports a busy professional who manages multiple high-level projects simultaneously. The assistant will act as the primary point of communication across various engagements, ensuring seamless interactions with managers, co-workers, HR, and other key personnel. This is a fully remote position requiring high responsiveness and exceptional organizational skills.


DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Part-Time Virtual Assistant to manage communication and scheduling for a professional handling multiple concurrent projects. The assistant will be responsible for monitoring messages, emails, Slack channels, and other communication platforms across different engagements, ensuring timely responses and keeping the professional informed of critical updates. The ideal candidate will be available during the morning hours (8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern Time) with rapid response times (15 minutes or less).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage communication channels (email, Slack, internal messaging platforms) for multiple projects.
  • Respond promptly to messages, escalating urgent matters to the professional as needed.
  • Keep track of schedules, calendar events, and deadlines across different projects.
  • Provide a morning check-in (8:00 AM ET) to review daily schedules, important updates, and potential conflicts.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks with a maximum turnaround time of 15-30 minutes.
  • Notify the professional in advance of any planned timeouts (lunch, breaks, personal errands).
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS INCLUDE

  • Proficiency in communication tools (Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Experience managing multiple inboxes and calendars.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • High-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
  • Ability to meet the required response time of 15 minutes or less during shift hours.


BONUS SKILLS

  • Familiarity with software development or tech industry environments.
  • Experience in executive or virtual assistance roles.
  • Basic knowledge of project management tools.


HOURS AND AVAILABILITY

  • 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday to Friday (20 hours/week).
  • Expected response time of 15 minutes or less during shift hours.
  • Potential for full-time expansion (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM ET) based on performance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.


COMPENSATION

  • Starting at $20/hour, flexible depending on experience.
  • Potential for increased hours and long-term engagement based on performance.
