Job Title Communications & Relationship Specialist Location Global Position Type Volunteer Job Description Looking for full-time OR part-time staff, member OR volunteer. The Communications and Relationship Specialist is an outward facing role that will oversee communications and relational networks for progress.Bible with an emphasis on promotion, collaboration, and relationship management. Develops the high level communication plan and matures the communication process between the progress.Bible team, data contributors, data consumers, and other relevant parties. Assures alignment with SIL communication strategies and policies, while promoting progress.Bible’s brand. Creates and presents the progress.Bible value proposition, what/how is the value delivered; collaborates with others on the team to provide demonstrations, respond to inquiries, creates and maintains public presentations and other promotional materials. Manages communications processes to assure accuracy and responsiveness to all inquiries. Coordinates content development of the quarterly newsletter and ensures on time distribution of all service publications. Identifies and makes contact with potential new data contributors, and networks of organizations with potential for service. Gains understanding of the contributing organization’s place (mission, goals, locations of work, major relationships) in the Bible translation community. Oversees the Data Contributor On-boarding Process, including the execution of the Data Contributor Agreement. Maintains relationship with data contributing organizations at the appropriate levels. Participates in the overall improvement efforts of the service quality, responsiveness, and overall customer satisfaction. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Research and identify needs and outlets for communications materials and events - Produce reports, brochures, articles, fact sheets, audio-visuals, children's materials, etc. - Conceives and coordinates publicity events - Relates to people outside of the organization as appropriate. Member Responsibilities: The following responsibilities apply to any employee who is also a member of the religious organization: - Partnership Development: Build and retain a team of prayer and financial partners that will sustain them during their entire Wycliffe ministry according to the Wycliffe Partnership Development policy. - Organizational Representative – Present the global ministry of Wycliffe and encourage interested individuals and churches to participate in this work. Maintain an exemplary standard of ethics and conduct that reflects biblical principles. Physical Abilities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
